Part Three : There’s something…missing ?

Thank you folks for joining us for the third installment regarding ‘Why should YOU buy from Amnig‘..I have fun time sharing with you my adventures of the shopping nightmares I constantly face each time I want to shop in shopping centres. I’m thankful in many ways for Online businesses, as they help me save up so much of my time and I believe that Amnig should not be any different as an Online store.

You strut out the 1^st shop feeling confident that you WILL find that ‘perfect’ shorts that will fit you. 45 minutes became 90 minutes scouring and searching for that ONE shorts and you were becoming miserable..fast!

You lose all hope and mood, as the shorts you have seen in shop two, three and four are either too long, too short, ill fitting, not the right colour, fabric or even price. Including with all that misfortune, the crowd was getting on your nerves with all the pushing and shoving and the sales associates were not as helpful as you wish they were.

You find the nearest exit, the lift! Getting into one makes you feel claustrophobic and suffocated. You hold your breath and close your eyes, relying on your ears to tell you the next stop.

I now know, where did the word ‘packed like sardines’ came from..

For being trapped too long, I have become..cooked burnt sardines

Once you have gone out of the ‘human sardine can’ and waiting (again!) to pay for your parking ticket. You expect your bill to come up to only RM4, as you were only at the mall for less than 4 hours. ‘That would be..RM15, please’ responds the lady. ‘WHAT! RM15?!’, without saying much, you pay the lady behind the counter, receive the change and press on your exalarator. The whole day has been such a waste.

From the time, you left your house till the time you have gone back, 7 hours have passed.

Part Two : The People and their Queues

Welcome back fellow Amnig Online bloggers, if you have been following us in the previous entry, you would have read about the journeys to the destination to shop and its parking spaces. Today, let’s us continue with

PART TWO : The People and their Queues

Other than sight, touch, smell and taste, do not forget that we have our ears, as our senses too, humans will respond when their names are being called. Therefore entering a mall with full of the noise of the crowd, children arguing and screaming on top of their lungs with their siblings, elderly walking along looking around clueless for their family members and teenagers talking boisterously and rowdily WILL ONLY shake your eardrums and give you irregular heartbeats . You try your best to focus and ignore them while shaking your head, and  hurriedly start hunting for the shops that sell what you were looking for.. from a distance you see the shop you want to go to, you walk another 8 meters of so while thinking ‘Very well’  the minutes before looking for a parking slots seems to be behind you…’Phew, time for the real shopping experience..’ you whisper.

The mall is huge, and you are not sure where to start

‘Uh oh.. I think I can feel my body aching already..’

‘Too many people..too little time…’

More and more people by the hour

Once you have entered your chosen shop, you waste no time to start browsing for the shorts you wanted to get for yourself and ask for some assistance for the correct size you may fit into. You turn around and find no one to help you because there are ‘other customers’ who are louder and more demanding than you, shouting at the sales associates. There seem to be many associates, but all seem ‘too busy’ to come to attend to you. Or either that, these sales associates will come swarming around you, offering and recommending all sorts of items in the shop, expecting you to spend more than you can buy.  They act like mosquitoes that can’t wait to land on your skin and suck the blood out of you…

‘ why do I feel like I’m being hounded and sucked up?..’

‘Forget it’ you mumble. So, you bump along with more people in shop despite excusing yourself numerous of times and gingerly move in to grab the size you ‘assumed’ you would be able to wear. You wait in line for the fitting room. 2 minutes have passed, then 6 minutes..Then 10 minutes. ‘What are they doing in the fitting room?!’ you think aloud.

Feeling rather annoyed, you look at the garment you wanted to try..is it worth the wait? Do I really need this piece of garment? Your inner conscience tells you that the value and the cost does not seem to balance out, the finishing at the waistband is rather terrible, the fabric seems too common, colour is the same Black which you always wear..AND there are no other options of colour available.

You place it back into the ‘dumping bag’ and move out from the shop feeling exasperated and tired..not because of the shopping, but because of the waiting.

‘Can you see me honey!? I’m over here!~’

‘I’m regretting that I came in in the 1st place, and now I chose to go..’

‘This shorts better be worth my waiting!’

‘I can’t breathe and my legs are cramping! How long more do I have to wait??’

Seeing an empty door, is a shopper’s dream..but that’s rarely the case during sales.

We hope you are not feeling tired from looking at all this pictures. Due to this, we suggest to take a break from this ‘shopping in a mall’ madness for another day! We need a breather too.

Part One: The Parking Monster

PART ONE: The Parking Monsters

Getting ready for going out? Takes you about an hour to get ready? Once you head out, the traffic jams has shown you no mercy. You may even curse under your breath and complaint about the lack of civic mind of the drivers behind the wheels. The drivers and frankly even you swivel dangerously and impatiently through the traffic; finally you have reached your destination, the mall. Another headache begins just as one ends – Lack of parking slots.

Spend another 20minutes finding one ‘near the entrance’ so that you need do not need to walk too much or forget where you park your car. It’s your ‘lucky’ day, as someone has just reversed out. Once you have closed the door of your car to enter the mall, you walk on and stop in your tracks and..suddenly look back and ask yourself ‘Yikes! Did I locked my car?..I don’t recall hearing the ‘beep’. You have forgotten whether you have locked your car..so from a distance you click your alarm. It locks.

It turns out that you have forgotten to lock it, so you hurry along to get into the mall and do what you were suppose to do..SHOP!

Swiveling around only to find that the parking is FULL again!

It has to be this FULL when I have decided to shop..*groans*
